Math

Friday math class consists of math buddy games. We choose partners through "Buddy Cards" then spend a half an hour playing a variety of different types of games relating to the information we learned that week. Most of these games can be reproduced to use at home. If you'd like a copy please let me know!

When we are learning new concepts in math, we like to start with a buddy game. Math can be much more enjoyable when we incorporate the concepts into games and use of manipulatives.

Above you will notice students practicing their "greater than" and "less than" skills.

We are moving into Addition and Subtraction - it would be greatly appreciated if you could practice the basic facts at home with your children. Also, we have many hundreds charts and buddy games that can be borrowed if you'd like to practice some mathematical skills and strategies with your children in the evenings.
