Arctic Homes

Today in Social Studies we learned all about the traditional and modern homes of the Inuit people who live in Iqaluit. Although most Inuit no longer live in iglus, we discussed the importance of this symbol for present day Inuit people. We concluded our lesson by building our own iglus out of marshmallows and shaving cream. It was a winter wonderland in our classroom today!

Spirit Cup Winners!

Our class is very excited to share that we were the winners of the Spirit Cup last week! Our awesome MMH team spirit helped us earn a class party with Tim Bits and chocolate milk, as well as the privilege of being the home of the Spirit Cup trophy for the next few days! It sure was an awesome day to be in the 2A class!

Welcome to Mrs.Garlock

Hello Everyone!

I'd like to take a moment to welcome Mrs. Garlock to the teaching profession and more importantly to introduce her to all of you. Mrs. Garlock completed her final teaching practicum at MMH from September to December and she has now jumped in to teaching the absolutely fantastic students of 2A. Rest assure your children are left in terrific hands!

Thank you all for your kindness and support over the last 4 months. I'm sorry your children came back from break without "Mrs.Fahey" present but I know they will move on rather quickly and adjust to a new and fantastic teacher.

As an update - I am doing well, as is our baby, however for the next few weeks rest is extremely important. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in sending me an email - I will be checking it regularly.

Thank you again for 4 months of pure joy with your children. I will miss them dearly, but I will definitely be stopping by for visits!!!

Hope you all had a restful and relaxing holiday. Here's to a wonderful and joyous 2015!

Sincerely,
Amanda Fahey
